At the center of the piece, real sand is encapsulated in quartz and can move freely when the piece is in motion. Additionally, the rattan rosette rotates on itself, creating a circular movement of the sand. With this mechanism, I aimed to express that time is not linear but rather a present moment that simply exists in the now.

I drew inspiration from the golden sand illuminated by the sun, its shifting movement in the wind, and the natural curves and symmetry found in the landscape. These elements guided the design, aiming to capture the delicate balance between light, motion, and organic form.

School project 2024 in collaboration with Boucheron, inspired by their 'Ailleurs' collection.

In this project, the challenge was to create a necklace containing a real, natural element: sand. The aim was to explore how an ephemeral material could be transformed into a lasting, meaningful piece of jewelry.

Different creative approaches to interpret the project's theme and various ways to wear the piece - made on Procreate

The purpose of this necklace is to explore different shapes and styles that highlight the beauty of the woman’s body.

It’s more than just a classic necklace. It's a body jewelry, designed to accentuate and empower. The piece seeks an imposing size, drawing inspiration from the vast, majestic desert.
